Preparing For Your Appointment

  • If this is your first time seeing Dr. Stein, please make sure to fill out your new patient paperwork HERE

We ask that you review your rights as a patient and our privacy practices HERE

  • In preparation to visit on the day of your surgery please bring a detailed list of your current medications, photo ID and your insurance cards. If you would like, bring a friend or family member since much of your time will be spent waiting. Additional instructions are included in your surgery packet.

Because our lab equipment needs to maintain a freezing temperature, our office stays at a crisp 68 degrees year-round. We recommend dressing warmly or bringing a jacket or blanket to your appointment.

  • During your Mohs procedure, Dr. Stein will take thin layers of skin and process them in our lab. Each layer of skin takes approximately 45 minutes to process. If the skin still shows signs of cancer, these steps will be repeated. Please expect to be at our office for TWO to FOUR hours.
